It's the start of a brand new month, and i've resorted to using my webcam as my camera. It's surprising starting to be my favourite gadget. It's really clear. (:

and i decided to use the sample size version of Dior Snow Sublissime Moisture Creme
last night.
The results, as described below:

'Do you know that your face is glowing?' and I'm stunned into silence.
I went to check it out, and boy, it costs $135 for 50ml i think! And i'm incredibly horrified, cos it's absorbed so fast, I might just over do it.

SALTWATER CAFE
food adventures at SALTWATER CAFE, Changi Village Hotel
The Changi Village Hotel, part of the Far East Hotels, is a hotel with a beach resort theme. It has a lovely night views, and dining by the poolside.
Saltwater Cafe added new varieties to its buffet, with the Lok Lok Stall, Changi Crab Corner, TeppanYaki Counter, and Tiffin Curries Station.
Lok Lok is kind of a 'good old days' type of cooking, though i find it's about the same as steamboat, without the soup.
I must admit i got up quite a few times. i went to look around before deciding on what to eat. Headed straight for the Tiffin Curries Station, where i took a bowl of curry, and some rice, together with baked mussels, cray fish with black bean sauce, stir fried broccoli and cauliflower with fried toufu. I took a small slice of the prata too, though i thought it was weird, since i already had rice.
The curry, i must say is really good.
Next up, TeppanYaki Counter. I must really commend the teppan yaki chef. He's good!! The dou miao was crunchy and juicy at the same time, not to mention the black pepper beef, it was done to perfection! even for someone like me who almost always eats express teppan yaki, i must say that TeppanYaki Corner in Saltwater Cafe is really really good. not to mention the chef remembers you, and makes sure that your dishes is sent to your table!
P.S. I FINISHED ALL THE DOU MIAO.
Crabs? Well, I managed to try the chilli crab, and boy, it's delicious.
I managed to cook some quail eggs at the lok lok stall, and the Soup of the Day was Pea Soup, it was great. Just nice and creamy.

SaTuRdAy----ups and downs
What an eventful day.
I woke up to a light blue sky, with birds chirping, and looking forward to breakfast with sweetie.
Apparently, I guess he was a little too comfortable, hence the snooze.....
THE TURN
I'm up and ready, and made 2 calls, hoping to know if he was out. Unfortunately, no return calls from him. Called a few more times, and FInally called his home. Found out from his dad he was still sleeping. *sighs.
Went to get breakfast, and tried my luck Again. No luck. Ah well, I thought, I'd probably have to share it with my parents. ONE last try. His brother, finally picked up the phone.-----thx for letting me in!!!!
THE HEARTBREAK...
Turns out that my sweetie had sneezed too muuch and sort of fainted. on his bed. no wonder he couldnt hear my calls.

He's alive and well, healthy, and very refreshed! Went to eastpoint after breakfast and shopped around for ROLLERBLADES....had a rather cosy tryout place in SPORTSLINK, and proceeded to cab home. Had some fun blading, before I landed with a bump. ON MY BUTT, whilst taking a step down, thankfully not on my tailbone.
the best part was teaching him how to blade, and hugging him tightly before he could fall. (:
So after the fall, we retreated to the balcony, to practise. He was really enjoying it, I can tell.
he actually requested for LATE NIGHT BLADING!!! YEA!!!

This I Might Edit = TIME
I do not know what to say, or blog about rather.
I feel upset. And frustrated. And happy. And thankful.
Upset that sometimes, I cant remember wth I had said or not said and it gets to the point where it's an argument. But heck, it's over, let's be happy, like you said. Thanks, for being magnanimous (i'm not sure if it's spelt that way), like you always are.
Frustrated that I cant help you to do the MIND MAPS. Also, I forgot. And you, are always so carefree, and it breaks my heart whenever I re-read that sms you sent while in the lecture.
Tell me, wont you, that you will do well, whether or not you continue playing WARHAMMER. I dont wish to sound like a nag/your mum, cos it's still up to you. I will support you in whatever you do, so I hope that will be a motivation for you.
Happy because, you , are always there for me, and you volunteered to help me build my garden, even though you will be entirely exhausted because although I can do carpentry, I'm not as skilled as you are.
Thankful for your caring ways.

Obama berates 'shameful' Wall Street bonuses
Obama berates 'shameful' Wall Street bonuses
President Barack Obama Thursday furiously slammed Wall Street titans who raked in billions in bonuses while taxpayers bailed out their industry as "shameful" and guilty of acute "irresponsibility."
Obama, anger flashing across his usually calm countenance, said bosses of big finance firms must sacrifice along with other Americans, as the country tries to dig itself out of a deep economic hole.
The president's ire was sparked when he read a newspaper article detailing the 18.4 billion dollars in bonuses collected by Wall Street firms last year, even as stock markets plunged and the economy slumped towards a recession.
"That is the height of irresponsibility. It is shameful, and part of what we are going to need is for the folks on Wall Street who are asking for help to show some restraint and show some discipline and show some sense of responsibility," Obama told reporters in the Oval Office.
"The American people understand that we have got a big hole we have got to dig ourselves out of but they don't like the idea that people are digging a bigger hole as they are being asked to fill it up."
Obama, speaking after meeting Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, said he would clearly spell out to Wall Street executives they have to act in a more responsible fashion.
There would be time for them to rake in profits and bonuses later in the economic cycle, he said. "But now is not that time."
"We're going to be having conversations as this process moves forward, directly with these folks on Wall Street," Obama said.
The president, who is piloting an 800 billion dollar plus economic stimulus plan through Congress, pledged to make clear that Wall Street fat cats must "start acting in a more responsible fashion, if we are to together get this economy rolling again."
He also brought up the case of Citigroup, which has taken funds under a separate 700 billion dollar Wall Street bailout, and nixed plans to buy a 42 million dollar corporate jet after the Treasury Department complained.
"Secretary Geithner already had to pull back one institution that had gone forward with a multimillion dollar jet plane purchase at the same time as they're receiving TARP money," Obama said.
White House aides said the massive bonus figures, divulged in a report Wednesday by the New York state comptroller's office, undercut Obama's appeal for all Americans to share in a new spirit of responsibility.
Total bonuses in the securities industry fell from 32.9 billion dollars to 18.4 billion dollars in 2008, the largest percentage drop in more than three decades, Wednesday's report said.
"But the size of the bonus pool is still the sixth largest on record," the comptroller's office said.
Vice President Joseph Biden also took a shot at Wall Street financiers in an interview with CNBC.
"It's been outrageous. I mean, it's just offensive, it just offends the sensibilities, I mean, I'd like to throw these guys in the brig.
"I do know what they're thinking and they're thinking the same old thing that got us here, greed. They're thinking, take care of me."
There was mixed reaction from Wall Street analysts to Obama's remarks.
"It's good politics for him to say that, but we have to realize that a lot of bonuses were paid on a contract basis, so many people worked on percentages," said Peter Cardillo, chief market economist at Avalon Partners.
"I am not defending the action of Wall Street and the bankers but I think that one needs to realize that Wall Street doesn’t work on salaries but on bonuses."
Alan Johnson, managing director of Johnson Associates, a New York-based compensation consulting firm, also understood Obama's anger, but said the situation was complicated.
"I understand the anger that the president has and most taxpayers probably have. I understand that emotional kind of reaction.
"Were they irresponsible? That’s a questionable thing, if you say, 'I’m not paying a bonus to anyone,' you’ll probably have several of these firms collapse, which would have been worse than people being angry."

A SPLURGE for CNY?
haha..
so there was the 'outing' to JP...the old + the new
suddenly it felt weird. I usually only frequent JP--the old one, as darling was nearby, or we had breakfast there.
Strangely enough, when it was time to go back to office, I SAW MY NEIGHBOUR.
hahah. well, maybe he was just entertaining his friend. :) Okay, the main topic of the day's highlight.

I only intended to purchase A PAIR OF SHOES.. but somehow I bought TWO PAIRS.. the other pair is kinda IMPULSE...lol...
well, darling actually smiled and I gather the ONE i intended to get is the BEST. oh well, at least he still gave it a pass for office style shoes.

Gosh, this had better be good. Firstly, Grace and I were 'entertained' by this lady named pei pei, i think. that's the name i saw on the screen for the POS system. maybe she's new, she was rattling on so fast i was BLUR. 100%.
PROs-- she let me try the eye serum on my eyes, and she didnt really know how to press so that a small amt will come out, so it was like a glob.
CONs-- too much serum. i dont think it is good, esp since my face is not clean.
in the end, cos i intended to get the serum, I did, and managed to sign up as a member. AND we both got free tubes of hand cream/lotion. Grace was pretty impressed by the service the more senior staff gave, that she was actually asking qns and listening.
Went to NTUC to prep for the cooking session as well. meet him there... and he remembered to bring the herbs.. HUGS to him...
all in all a great day. (;

N.E.W.
A new year, A new plan, A new route, A new everything..
Some times, it hurts.
I was springcleaning my room, and i found a tweety pendant from The Singapore Mint that my eldest brother had given me for Christmas way back in 1997. It really brought back memories. I was only Primary 5.. still very young and wreaking havoc everywhere..
Haha.. oh well...........
I guess it happens every year, during the SPRING CLEANING, where we're to throw the old.. to make way for the new. There are JUST some things that you cant discard. Not when it has SO MUCH MEANING in it.
Oh yeah, the plants.. Those who bought them, just a precaution..The bottle is made of glass, so be careful if you dropped it.

MY BTT day
the embarrassing part is so humorous..
today is my basic theory test, i'm not in the office, and i'm jittery.
Woke up pretty late, if 9.30am is considered late.
Reminded myself to collect my parcel, courtesy of a COOL SANTA who is somewhere, complaining about his army life.
Looking at the SINGpost receipt, i was expecting some reply of, i'm sorry, your parcel has been sent back to the sender. However, I remembered that it stated a period of 10days, so i guess it's still safely there.
Got to the post office, many many queues, looked around, and FOUND THE QUEUE for counter 8. Collection of Bulky/Registered Items. FINALLY>> it's my turn!!!! UNTIL this lady from the OTHER queue, came over, barged into the front line and went 'I NEED TO SEND THIS TO USA'
the staff were rather interesting. BUT they were no pushover, i gotta hand it to them.
Staff A: Madam, did you join the queue just now? Cos you have to join the queue. My queue needs to be cleared too. (Turns away and carries on with work)
Lady: I NEED TO SEND THIS TO USA
Staff B: Are you in the queue madam? You're in the other queue. You have to join the queue, it's unfair to the others.
Lady: WHAT? you want me to queue again? this is ridiculous! I just queued over there, isnt it the same? I dunno which is the right queue, but i did queue.
Staff B: You'll have to ask the one behind then. Ask if they'll allow you to cut the queue.
Lady turns around starts asking: Can I join the queue? Can I go next?
Person behind me: I'm not the only one in the queue. You'll have to ask the rest as well.
Lady starts asking everybody and is given permission.
Staff B: Next! (Lady walks up) Next time you FIND the right queue ah!
I left then, after collecting my parcel...How this started is still very amusing.
so then I went to piggie's cosy place, and opened the parcel together. Pictures come later.
It was a beautiful tatty bear snow globe.
Thereafter, I left for the BTT.
Stopped at the wrong stop, walked along the roadworks, reached there just in time, was too nervous, panicky, and just wanted to get it done and over with. BAD SIGNS.

today is my basic theory test, i'm not in the office, and i'm jittery.
Woke up pretty late, if 9.30am is considered late.
Reminded myself to collect my parcel, courtesy of a COOL SANTA who is somewhere, complaining about his army life.
Looking at the SINGpost receipt, i was expecting some reply of, i'm sorry, your parcel has been sent back to the sender. However, I remembered that it stated a period of 10days, so i guess it's still safely there.
Got to the post office, many many queues, looked around, and FOUND THE QUEUE for counter 8. Collection of Bulky/Registered Items. FINALLY>> it's my turn!!!! UNTIL this lady from the OTHER queue, came over, barged into the front line and went 'I NEED TO SEND THIS TO USA'
the staff were rather interesting. BUT they were no pushover, i gotta hand it to them.
Staff A: Madam, did you join the queue just now? Cos you have to join the queue. My queue needs to be cleared too. (Turns away and carries on with work)
Lady: I NEED TO SEND THIS TO USA
Staff B: Are you in the queue madam? You're in the other queue. You have to join the queue, it's unfair to the others.
Lady: WHAT? you want me to queue again? this is ridiculous! I just queued over there, isnt it the same? I dunno which is the right queue, but i did queue.
Staff B: You'll have to ask the one behind then. Ask if they'll allow you to cut the queue.
Lady turns around starts asking: Can I join the queue? Can I go next?
Person behind me: I'm not the only one in the queue. You'll have to ask the rest as well.
Lady starts asking everybody and is given permission.
Staff B: Next! (Lady walks up) Next time you FIND the right queue ah!
I left then, after collecting my parcel...How this started is still very amusing.
so then I went to piggie's cosy place, and opened the parcel together. Pictures come later.
It was a beautiful tatty bear snow globe.
Thereafter, I left for the BTT.
Stopped at the wrong stop, walked along the roadworks, reached there just in time, was too nervous, panicky, and just wanted to get it done and over with. BAD SIGNS.

hmmm... I was thinking about the nuffnang site and all, then i received a notification about their blood drive..
I wanted to take part, but my mum advised me against it, since I'm not in good health.. And my blood levels are not very good................... She's worried I might faint after that.. HAHA..
AND I'm taking up yoga.. Gonna spread the mat just beside my bed, so I'll do it every morning.
Hopefully. Well.. I'm gonna have to stick to a schedule if I really wanna get my body in shape.

A LONG DAY
hmmm, full of surprises...
Woke up late today, and rushed down..... tried to flag a cab at abt 9.30, and my interview was at 10AM..... so it just has to happen that i'm on the road with NO CABS..... and just adjacent to me, were taxis driving by..................................
Finally a cab stopped... but,

uncle: miss where are u going?
me: dhoby ghaut...*waiting expectantly
uncle:oh, sorry, cannot i need to pick up passengers
me:oh ok.
so then this LIMO CAB was at the back, and before i even told him my destination,
he went, "I anywhere also go"
haha
so ya... interview ended....
went to citylink, wanted to check out the new ripcurl bikini at flash N splash, but nope, they dont have it....
RING ring.... I thought it was piggie.... BUT no,
got ANOTHER interview..HUNGRY AND TIRED already, but I agree...
Got a nasty shock when i find out that raffles city shopping centre's foodcourt is under renovation!!!
Headed to the basement, found myself at SHOKUDO, japanese food bazaar... More like Jap Marche.... Thank goodness i limited my spending... A bowl of rice costs $1.50!!!!
oh well.. AND ya, I nearly got stuck in the rain, before deciding to get an umbrella to WALK to the place. IN HEELS, and PAINFULLY TIRED feet.....

Wow.. I went down to Mediacorp with this bunch of friends from UOW, and i had such a great time...it's a celebrity special episode of Don't Forget the Lyrics...with Phua Chu Kang, Bubblerella, Sergeant Dollah, and later, JoJo, and Adrienna... basically, Adrian Pang, Michelle Chong, Gurmit Singh, and Sulaiman Yusoff...I think that's how to spell his name..
So cool.. And they were all having so much fun during the recording and stuff...

but it felt like it was just another day.
perhaps the celebratory mood was over,
over with the dinner that darling took me out to. *HUGS
the movie was good, but somehow,
the time before the movie sort of had a huge impact.

I got locked out cos i forgot my keys in the rush to meet darling for breakfast.

oh well, i did some gardening and finally got into the house...

back to school....
for a while, i think i'm going crazy. i actually did something drastic!!!
i changed my hairstyle and decided to complete my cross-stitch! haha.. well, it looks good, and i must say it's a new look for a new start. my nephew joshua didnt really recognise me for a while. heeeheee........ i must admit that it's much easier to maintain right now, and i'm thankful that i went berserk that sunday..... taking a risk to change my look... haha.. it's great!
as for playing board games, i must really say i'm looking forward to the next game. i learnt a lot from that one game. thanks to vicky and anita. hugs...

haha.. i was clearing part of my shelf and i found my so called first beloved necklace. my mum bought it. haha. well... i'm wearing it right now, and i also found this!!!

oh well, training for work life.

it feels kinda late for certain things,
example would be :
too late for regrets cos things happen for a reason, the only reason is that it makes you stronger, IF AND ONLY IF you learnt something from it.
too late for choices after you make a decision, why??? cos most of the time u cant unchoose something can you?
too late to even say it's too late, cos by that time, IT IS really too late.
Getting really philosophical huh? yup, maybe, but i think it's worth it once in a while.

it slapped me today
presenting our mock advertisement for a school project.
the collaboration of two minds... one extremely overworked and hyped up and the other painful, exhausted, plain tired, and still in game gear. i have lost it. the magic of being able to speak.
it almost always happens when presenting with jon. No idea why. maybe he's 'taking' it away from me. he's leaving me bloated with laughing gas. too much jon, too much. i know u love laughing gas, but i have too much. that sorta explains the red ears. well, at least i manage to control the amount of laughing for today. PHEW. and i must say that jon is really good at presenting. Great working with you on the project. :)
SUDDENLY, i got slapped. figuratively. again. many times this year. i guess it's the reflections and quiet times i have been taking.. all the alone times spent. Sometimes i wonder, how did all my friends tolerate me. i guess i was sorta a maniac. ya. u read right. MANIAC.

yes STUFF.. quoting prof ana valenzuela, it's the most beautiful word... haha
i love the word cos it describes everything. hahha
imagine i was so happy when i read about the warehouse sale. until i boarded the bus and i had to float back down to reality that i cant partake in the usual digging for beautiful cheap clothes.
u hear the cat fights??? meooowww
i hate that feeling. hate it when everyone is happily digging for their desired 'gold' piece and i'm back home, mugging for my projects, papers and what nots. hahha. oh well, it's coming to an end very soon.
And oh ya, I WENT for a JOG! yes..... happy. but also not happy. cos i didnt do interval sprinting. mainly cos i waited for a full 2hours after dinner, stretching while watching la femme. the latest channel 8 show that i am suddenly loyal to. haha........yup, havent been sitting in front of the box for ages. lol. wonder what baristas do. maybe i should go and try my luck for now.
okie. and i should relax. breathe right and be happy.

inventions. and . the. brain
SOME ONE PLEASE, INVENT A DEVICE THAT ALLOWS THE BRAIN TO BE IN A STEADY STATE ie NO WANDERING THOUGHTS = NO THINKING TOO MUCH.
i wish that i can stop thinking for a while. there's like so much stuff in my brain i think it should explode, but it doesnt. Damn. cant it just explode?? yeah i know, i'm cursing myself to have a stroke, wahaha. stupid right. oh well. i guess it's just that irritating time of the period, where we girls get unstable and everything
